A Sweet Treat: How to Choose the Right Citrus Fruit Basket This Winter

Confused about how to choose the right citrus fruit basket this winter? You're not alone. Here's how to pick the best citrus fruit gift basket for you!

In many European and Eastern cultures, tangerines and oranges are symbols of abundant happiness and prosperity. Who doesn't love the fresh tangy smell of citrus?

And what better time than winter to offer a natural gift to brighten up someone's day?

A citrus fruit basket is packed full of healthy goodness. It is delightful in its simplicity. In these days of bought cakes and confectionery, it could even be thought of as original.

Why don't you spread the goodness by creating up gift baskets for a few of your friends or family?

Zest For the Best

One way to make your own unique citrus fruit basket is to order several different types of citrus fruit separately that will make up your citrus basket.

You can simply order a hand-curated gift basket online here at US Citrus. With Amazon Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal payment options, nothing could be easier!

While subject to change, our citrus fruit boxes may contain a fresh, hand-picked mix of delicious citrus fruit, such as Meyer lemons, Persian limes, Rio red grapefruit, Kumquats, and Persian limes.

Making Your Own Citrus Fruit Basket

Perhaps you want to include a personal touch with hand-delivery to your friend's or relative's doorstep. In that case, order several types of citrus and create your own selection for your DIY citrus fruit gift basket.

Our fruit is ripened on the tree. We harvest the fruit on the day of shipment because we want to provide the freshest farm citrus experience for you and the recipients of your gifts.

You might want to decorate real wicker baskets with ribbons or flowers or add sachets of herb teas, or a bunch of flowers.  You don't have to restrict yourself to citrus or fruit.

Someone we know creates citrus baskets and adds a range of possible ingredients for mulled wine or Glühwein. She includes a bottle of red wine, cloves, cardamom, and vanilla, as well as almonds and raisins.

Another friend of ours uses some of the citrus fruit to make small jars of lemon curd and orange marmalade to complement the fresh fruit. Last winter, her baskets were lined with what turned out to be a kitchen apron.

We bet you could come up with other ideas of your own to add that special, personal touch.
