Pineapple Orange Cake

The citrus from the fruit will give this cake some extra zest. For this wonderful recipe, you'll just need some simple ingredients:

  • 4 egg whites
  • Yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of applesauce -unsweetened
  • 1 carton of whipped topping -reduced fat
  • 1 can of crushed pineapple
  • 1 can of oranges- undrained
  • 1-ounce package of instant vanilla pudding mix - unsweetened

From there, set the pineapple, pudding mix, and the whipped topping to the side. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl on low speed. Then, pour the batter onto a baking dish.

  • Note: Apply cooking spray on the baking dish for non-stick purposes. Ensure the dish is 13x9 in.

Place in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. When finished, stick a toothpick in the center of the cake to confirm if it's well-baked. Mix the pineapple and pudding in a bowel. Add in the whipped topping. Next, spread the icing over the cake. Place in the fridge for cooling.

Orange Pineapple Cream Milkshake

If you want a sweet treat in liquid form, look no further than a milkshake that only requires basic ingredients. You'll need such essentials as:

  • 1 1/2 cups of milk - whole
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • Orange slices - for garnish purposes
  • 1/4 cup of pineapple
  • 1/2 teaspoon of orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 cups of vanilla ice cream

Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend for around 30 seconds. You can also blend the ingredients until you have a smooth texture. Pour the mixture in a glass, and add the orange garnish. You can also try an orange pineapple smoothie as a replacement if you're not into milkshakes.

Orange Pineapple Drink

If you prefer a tasty treat that's not in dessert form, an orange pineapple drink is a perfect refresher. You'll need the following ingredients:

  • 3 rings of pineapple
  • 2/3 cup of orange juice
  • 1/3 cup of pineapple juice
  • 3 scoops of orange sherbert 

Place all the ingredients in a blender except the pineapple rings. Blend accordingly until it's fully liquified. Pour for two people, and place the two pineapple rings on each glass. Enjoy!
