More than just a diet food, grapefruits like the popular Rio Red grapefruit make delicious juice! If you're thinking about adding grapefruit to your diet, you should consider making fresh grapefruit juice a part of your morning routine.

Continue reading below to find out you how to make the best grapefruit juice, even if you don't have a juicer, and share some juice recipes with you as well.

The King of Grapefruits, Rio Red Grapefruits

Before making your fresh grapefruit juice, you'll want to make sure you have top-quality grapefruits. We really like Rio Red grapefruits.

Rio red grapefruits are also sweeter than other popular types of grapefruits such as the Ruby Red grapefruit.

As you bite into the deep red flesh, you'll notice it is juicier and sweeter than most other grapefruits you may have tasted. This is partly due to growing on the tree longer, which adds a sweet and juicy flavor, making them one of the best tasting grapefruits.

How to Make Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Even if You Don't Have a Juicer

Grapefruit juice is versatile. You can drink it with your morning breakfast or even use the juice in a vinaigrette for your salads at lunchtime.

To start, you'll want to place your grapefruit on the counter and roll it while applying pressure. Doing so will bring out that beautiful grapefruit taste.

Next, you'll want to take a big chef knife and cut the grapefruit in half. Now, if you're powerful or want to test your muscle strength, you can use your brute strength to squeeze the juice into a bowl.

However, if you'd like to save your forearms some of the hassle, you can grab a fork and gently twist it into the grapefruit flesh as you squeeze. This will help you draw the juice out of the grapefruit easier.

After you have squeezed the juice from the grapefruit into a bowl, move onto the other half of the fruit you sliced and do the same thing. Once you all the juice in your bowl, the juice is now ready to be poured into a glass and enjoyed.

There you have it, fresh grapefruit juice without a juicer! Easy right?
